BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Animal Incident Management (AIM) team was called to action again on Monday to help 120 dogs from a suspected puppy mill.
The situation unfolded very quickly when the Department of Agriculture asked Iowa City Animal Shelter to assist with the seizure of the dogs. For any animal shelter, taking in 120 pets at once is a nearly impossible task at a time when shelters across the country are all full. When they reached out to BPF for help, we sprang into action.
